High Efficient Flame Retardant Masterbatch for Polypropylene




Product Description:

FB-PP500H is a brominated phosphorus and nitrogen based flame retardant masterbatch for polypropylene (PP), containing 40% flame retardant and 60% PP carrier resin. It is suitable for materials such as  homopolymerisation, copolymerisation, and filled PP systems. This low-bromine-content product achieves its good flame retardant effect on low dosage, no precipitation, and environmental friendly. FB-PP500H is widely used for general applications based on PP materials with UL94 V2 rating, such as household appliances, coil frame, corrugated pipes, hollow board. FB-PP500H is under regulations (total halogen content of the flame retarded material < 900ppm) such as RoHS, REACH, and PAHS, when the dosage is less than 15.0% (by wt.).

Benefit:

  • Good processability and less dust formation in contrast to conventional powder flame retardats.

  • Offers a more economical solution compared to the commercial bromine-antimony based flame retardants, eliminating the need for antimony oxide supplementation.

  • Less bromine content, compliant with regulations such as RoHS, REACH, PAHS, based on the UL94 V2 flame retardant rating terminal products.



Applications:

The FB-PP500H is compatible with both copolymeric and homopolymeric PP, as well as the filled PP (e.g. talcum powder, barium sulfate, pigments, not suitable for calcium carbonate filled system).


  • In PP Homopolymerss:

A dosage of 2~3% (by wt.) of FB-PP500H is usually sufficient to achieve UL 94 V-2 (0.8~3.2mm) flame retardant rating, passing the glow wire test (GWIT 750°C and GWFI 960°C), and under the non-halogented regulations (Br% <  900ppm).


  • In PP Copolymers:

A dosage of 4~10% (by wt.) of FB-PP500H is usually sufficient to achieve UL 94 V-2 (0.8~3.2mm) flame retardant rating, passing the glow wire test (GWIT 750°C and GWFI 960°C), and under the non-halogented regulations (Br% <  900ppm).


  • Compliance with Regulatory Standards:

When the doasage of FB-PP500H is less than 15% (by wt.), the bromine content of the flame retarded material less than 900PPM, ensuring the terminal applications conforms to halogen-free regulations like RoHS, REACH, PAHS.



Packing and Handling:

Supplied in 25 kg packages, each contained within a woven bag lined with plastic for added protection.

Shipped as non-toxic and non-hazardous cargo.

To maintain product integrity, store in a dry environment, avoiding exposure to moisture.
