Product Description:

FR-500 is a white powdery mixer flame retardant based on the bromine, phosphorus and nitrogen system for polypropylene (PP). This product has benefits on non-blooming, low addition amount, and low bromine content in contrast to conventional flame retardants. FR-500 is suitable for systems such as co-polymeric PP, homo-polymeric PP, and filled PP (e.g. talcum powder, barium sulfate filled, not suitable for calcium carbonate filled).

Application:

FR-500 is widely used in heater housing, heater impeller, fan drum, power strip, coil skeleton, PP spinning, and etc.

For homo-polymerised PP, a dosage of 0.5-1.0% (by wt.) of FR-PP500 is usually sufficient to obtain UL94 V2 rating (0.8-3.2mm).

For co-polymerised PP, a dosage of 2.0-5.0% (by wt.) of FR-PP500 is usually sufficient to obtain UL94 V2 rating (0.8-3.2mm).

The low addition amount of FR-500 is usually in compliance with the regulation of non-halogenated for UL94 V2 rating, and the overall bromine content of flame retarded PP system is less than 900 ppm.

Packing:

FR-500 is packed in paper-plastic bags with polyethylene inliner, 25kg per package.

Storage:

FR-500 should be stored in a dry and cool place, avoid direct sunlight. Partially emptied containers should be carefully resealed after use.
