Non-halogenated Intumescent Flame Retardant for Polypropylene
Product Description：
FR-03F is a non-halogenated intumescent flame retardant based on phosphorus and nitrogen system for most efficient flame retardant grade (UL94 V-0). This product has excellent flame retardant effect, low addition amount, and low toxic smoke. FR-03F has less side effects on physical property of the flame retarded system, thanks to its good dispersion and compatibility with polymers such as polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), polyolefin resins (e.g. ethylene vinyl acetate co-polymer/ EVA).

Subject to the polymer grade and processing conditions, the dosage of the flame retardant may vary. In the system like co-polymeric PP, or high addition amount of pigment (e.g. black masterbatch, zinc powder), the dosage of FR-03F may be increased.
Flame retardant effect of FR-03F may be reduced or destroyed by fillers or pigments, such as calcium carbonate, zinc oxide, phthalocyanine green, and etc.
Processing:
Predrying (e.g. 4h at 110℃) of FR-03F is recommended, if even very low moisture content must be avoided.
Weak shear screws are suggested in extrusion processing, to ensure good appearance of granules (e.g. no splay mark, non-foaming).
Care must be taken to ensure the injection temperature should not exceed 230℃, and the extrusion temperature should between 160- 200℃.

FR-03F is packed in paper-plastic bags with polyethylene inliner, 25kg per package.
Storage:
FR-03F should be stored in a dry and cool place, avoid direct sunlight. Partially emptied containers should be carefully resealed after use.
