Phosphorus-Silicon-Based Flame Retardant for PA CTI 600V
Product Description:
FR-AHP03 is a white powdery non-halogenated flame retardant based on a phosphorus-silicon system for polyamide (PA/ nylon). This product achieves its flame retardant effect via a combined gas phase and condensed phase mode of action. FR-AHP03 is specially developed for high temperature nylon and good electrical insulation property, thanks to its good compatibility with nylon and good flame retardancy.FR-AHP03 is suited for both glass fibre reinforced and non-reinforced nylon (PA6 and PA66), with good mechanical and electrical properties (e.g. good appearance, good colour stability), which can withstand the demanding requirements of nylon applications.

Application:
In the 30% glass fibre (GF) reinforced PA6 or PA66, a dosage of 15-16% (by wt.) of FR-AHP03 is usually sufficient to obtain UL94 V-0 rating (1.6 mm), with a notch impact strength higher than 12 kJ/m2 , CTI higher than 650V.
FR-AHP03 achieves its good flame retardancy via a combined gas phase and condensed phase mode of action, and flame retarded nylon exhibits low blooming, fewer appearance defects (flow marks), and less mold deposit.
FR-AHP03 also meets the most efficient flame retardant grade regarding high temperature and high humidity (85 ℃ and 85% RH) for 1000 hours, with low blooming.
