Usage
Ø In plastic, rubber, and other materials:
By adding 0.3% to 1% SR-400 to the material,
Using SR-400 can lower the torque and head pressure during extrusion, leading to increased production and reduced energy usage. It also acts as an internal lubricant, improving the dispersion of flame retardants and reducing material buildup in the die. Additionally, it enhances mold release during injection molding, increasing material flow and mold filling, while shortening the injection cycle time.
Ø In finished product parts:
SR-400 can be used in fiber-reinforced products to decrease the amount of fibers on the surface. It also enhances surface properties such as lubricity, smoothness, and a silky feel.
The Processing Information
After the silicone powder is mixed with resin, it is processed into modified materials using an extruder.
After the silicone powder is evenly mixed with resin, it is injection molded into products.
Packaging & Storage
To properly store the product, it should be kept in a dry place and away from direct sunlight. The opening of the container should be sealed to prevent the product from absorbing moisture from the air. If needed, the product can be dried before use.
