Non-halogenated Flame Retardant for Epoxy Acrylic Adhesive
Product Description:
FR-HY50G is a fine-grained non-halogenated flame retardant based on phosphorus and nitrogen system for epoxy acrylic adhesive. This product has excellent flame retardant effect, and good compatibility with polymeric substrates. FR-HY50G has benefits on low addition amount, less precipitation, and good appearance of flame retarded material in contrast to conventional phosphorus-nitrogen based products.

Applications:
FR-HY50G is well-dispersed in the mixed emulsion with epoxy resin (both aqueous and organic based) or acrylic coating, and has good flame retardant effect on the flame retarded system.
FR-HY50G has excellent synergistic effects with other flame retardants, and the most efficient flame retardant rating would be achieved for acrylic coatings and epoxy resins.
In the epoxy resin or acrylic emulsion, a dosage of approx.15% (by wt.) of FR-HY50G is usually sufficient to obtain UL94 V-0 rating.
In the use of PU system, a dosage of 15% (by wt.) of FR-HY50G is sufficient to obtain the efficient flame retardant grade.
Care must be taken to avoid metal hydroxide (e.g. Al(OH)3, Mg(OH)2) in the use of FR-HY50G, great side effects generated and the efficiency reduced, whereas kaolin, silicon powder, and wollastonite may have relatively less side effects.
