FB-PP313H
Anti-precipitation Flame Retardant Masterbatch for Polypropylene
Product Description:
FB-PP313H is a brominated phosphorus and nitrogen based flame retardant masterbatch for polypropylene (PP), containing 30% flame retardant and 70% PP carrier resin. This product is specially developed for electric toilet seat, with good compatibility with anti-bacteria agents. FB-PP313H achieves its good flame retardant effect on both filled or non-filled PP systems, such as low precipitation, low dosage, good compatibility, and good appearance of the flame retarded products (e.g. good luster, less mold scale), in contrast to conventional bromine-phosphorus-nitrogen based flame retardants. FB-PP313 is also suitable for homopolymerisation and copolymerisation PP systems, without side effects on the thermal resistance of flame retarded materials.
Specifications:
Item | Value |
Appearance | White Granules |
Water/Moisture | < 0.3% |
Flame Retardant Content | 30% |
Decomposition Temperature | 280℃ |
Applications:
FB-PP313H is specially developed for PP material based electric toilet seat. It is suitable for filled or non-filled PP systems. FB-PP313H is also suitable for applications such as heater casing, heater fan wheel, fan drum, coil frame, corrugated pipe, hollow board, electrical toilet seat, and etc.
In the application of electric toilet seats, FB-PP313H exhibits good compatibility with anti-bacteria agents and the 20% barium sulfate (BaSO4) filled system. A dosage of 8~11% (by wt.) of FB-PP313H is usually sufficient to achieve efficient flame retardant effect and glow wire ignition temperature at 850℃.
In non-filled PP systems, a dosage of approx. 5-6% (by wt.) of FB-PP313H is usually sufficient to achieve UL94 V2 flame retardant rating. Subject to PP system and processing conditions, the dosage of flame retardant masterbatch may vary.
Care must be taken that processing temperatures should be below 200°C in injection molding, as overheating (above 230°C) may cause PP degradation and flame retardant decomposition.
Packing and Handling:
FB-PP313H is packed in paper-plastic bags with polyethylene inliner, 25kg per package.
FB-PP313H should be stored in a dry and cool place, avoid direct sunlight. Partially emptied containers should be carefully resealed after use.
