FR-AP1012
Modified Ammonium Polyphosphate (PhaseⅡ) Flame Retardant for Textile Coating
Product Description:
FR-AP1012 is a non-halogenated flame retardant based on ammonium polyphosphate (phaseⅡ, APP), modified by a special method. This product achieves its flame-retardant effect mainly through a condensed phase mode of action, with an average polymerisation degree higher than 1000. It is particularly suitable for water-resistance textile coating, which has less precipitation in high temperature compared to conventional modified phosphorus-nitrogen-based flame retardants.
SPECIFICATION
Characteristics | Unit | Target Value |
Appearance | white powder | |
Phosphorus | % (w/w) | min. 29.0 |
Nitrogen | % (w/w) | min. 13.5 |
Water/ Moisture | % (w/w) | max. 0.3 |
Solubility in Water | g/100mL | max. 0.5 |
Viscosity | mPa·s | max. 10 |
pH | 5.5-7.5 | |
Average Particle Size (D50) | μm | 15-25 |
Decomposition Temperature | ℃ | min. 280 |
BENEFITS
Excellent flame-retardant efficiency
Narrow molecular weight distribution, largely insoluble in water, good colloidal stability
Good water immersion resistance, and excellent thermal storage stability for aqueous emulsion
Good compatibility with resin, uniform dispersion, non-caking, the flame retarded materials exhibit good physical and electrical properties
Non-halogenated flame retardant with favourable environment and health profile
APPLICATIONS
FR-AP1012 is particularly designed for fabric coating in polyamide, polyurethane, and epoxy resin systems. Excellent flame-retardant effect is usually achieved by a dosage of 20-30% (by wt.) FR-AP1012, or combined with triazine charring agent, or MCA.
PACKAGE&STORAGE
Packed in paper-plastic bags with polyethylene inliner, 25kg per package.
The product should be sealed and stored in a dry, dust-free, and cool place.
