FR-AP1001 is a non-halogenated flame retardant based on ammonium polyphosphate (phaseⅡ, APP). It is produced from APP by micro-encapsulation with melamine resin, with the average polyerisation degree higher than 1500. Therefore, the product is largely insoluble in water and most organic solvents, non-hygroscopic, and non-flammable. This white powder shows an excellent catalytic char-forming effect

When combined with triazine-based char-forming agents, a dose of 26% to 28% of FR-AP1001 is typically enough to achieve UL 94 V-0 classification at a thickness of 1.6mm.
In epoxy potting compound, adhesive, acrylic coatings, PP, epoxy resin, etc.:
FR-AP1001 works synergistically with melamine cyanurate (MCA), triazine-based charring agents, and hypophosphite.
