Flame Retardant for Polypropylene (UL94 V-2)
Product Description:
FR-501 is a white powdery mixer flame retardant based on the bromine, phosphorus and nitrogen system for polypropylene (PP). This product has benefits on non-precipitated, low addition amount, and low bromine content in contrast to conventional flame retardants. FR-501 is suitable for systems such as co-polymeric PP, homo-polymeric PP, and filled PP (e.g. talcum powder, barium sulfate filling, not suitable for calcium carbonate filling).
Benefits:
l Non-precipitated, and low addition amount (1-5%, by wt.) of FR-501.
l Antimony oxide (Sb2O3) free, lowering the cost in contrast to Sb-based products.
l Low bromine content, complying with the regulations such as REACH, RoHS, PAHS, and etc.

Applications:
FR-501 is widely used in heater housing, heater impeller, fan drum, power strip, coil skeleton, PP spinning, and etc.
The low addition amount of FR-501 is usually in compliance with the regulation of non-halogenated for UL94 V-2 rating, and the overall bromine content of flame retarded PP system is less than 900 ppm.

Storage:
