FB-PET40B
Non-halogenated Flame Retardant Masterbatch for PET Spinning
Product Description:
FB-PET40B is a non-halogenated organic phosphinate based flame retardant mastrebatch specially designed for polyethylene terephthalate (PET) spinning. This product has excellent flame retardant effect, low addition amount, high thermal stability, and good compatibility with resins. FB-PET40B flame retarded material has good physical and mechanical properties.
| Characteristics | Target Value |
| Appearance | White granule |
| Water/Moisture | < 0.3% |
| Phosphorus Content | 55000 ppm |
| Decomposition Temperature | > 330℃ |
Excellent flame retardant effect, low addition amount.
High thermal stability, less precipitation.
Good compatibility with PET, less breakage during spinning and drawing process.
Non-halogenated flame retardant with favourable environment and health profile.
FB-PET40B is particularly suitable for textile and spinning in PET, and also suitable for applications such as PET chips, PET films, and etc.
A dosage of approx. 10% (by wt.) of FB-PET40B is usually sufficient to obtain VTM-2, with the limiting Oxygen
Index (LOI) around 33%.
A dosage of approx. 30% (by wt.) of FB-PET40B is usually sufficient to obtain VTM-1 grade, with the LOI around 33%.
Care must be taken that dosage of FB-PET40B may vary based on the PET and processing conditions
Predrying (e.g. 3-4h at 100-110℃) of the mixing of RB-PET40B and PET is recommended, if even very low moisture content must be avoided.
Packed in paper-plastic composite bags lined with plastic, each bag weighing 25 kg.
Store in a sealed, dry, dust-free, and cool environment. Partially emptied containers should be carefully resealed after use.
