FR-NSB100 is a white powderdesigned for PBT as a replacement for antimony trioxide (Sb2O3) synergistic flame retardant. FR-NSB100 is a white powder, which is designed for PBT as a replacement for antimony trioxide (Sb2O3) synergistic flame retardant. Antimony-free, high-efficiency product offers an advantageously condensed phase mode to protect the polymers. It has good compatibility with resin, paving the way for minimising the brittleness of compounds. Multiple color solutions would be implemented to enable broader applications of flame retarded materials.

APPLICATIONS

  • FR-NSB100 is developed especially for use in polyester. It is particularly suited for both glass-fiber reinforced and non-reinforced PBT.


Formulation:

In 30% glass-fiber reinforced PBT, a dosage of about 5% of FR-NSB100 is usually sufficient to obtain the UL 94 V-0 classification, with tensile and impact strength comparable to conventional antimony synergistic flame retardant. Subject to the polymer grade, processing conditions and glass-fibre reinforcement, the dosage of FR-NSB100 may vary.

  • The flame retarded polyester compounds exhibit good physical and electrical properties in repeated secondary treatment. Non-halogenated flame retardant compliants with ROHS and REACH regulations.

  • Same colour as the antimony synergistic system, no colour-matching issues.
