Melamine Polyphosphate Flame Retardant



Product Description

FR-MPP200 is a white powder, non-halogenated flame retardant based on high purity melamine polyphosphate

(MPP). This product is designed in a spherical shape and modified by surface treatment, reducing side effects from

decomposition during high temperature processing. FR-MPP200 is particularly suitable for polymer resins such as

polyamide (PA) and polybutylene terephthalate (PBT). Synergistic effects are known with other flame retardants

such as aluminum diethylphosphinate (ADP), ammonium polyphosphate (APP), or piperazine pyrophosphate.

Applications:

FR-MPP200 has 2% decomposition temperature above 370 ℃, and it exhibits low blooming and low decomposition possibility, good synergistic effects is obtained by in combination with ADP.


FR-MPP200 is particularly suitable for PA 6, PA66, and PBT materials. In nylon, a dosage of approx.18% (by wt.) of FR-MPP200 in combination with ADP is usually sufficient to obtain the UL 94 V-0 classification. Subject to processing conditions and glass fibre reinforcement content, the dosage of FR-MPP200 may vary.


FR-MPP200 is also suited for polymers such as polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), rubber, etc. Good synergistic effects are obtained by in combination with flame retardants such as piperazine pyrophosphate, hypophosphinate, and APP.

Storage:

FR-MPP200 must be sealed, stored in a dry and cool place.
