Product Description:

Copolymer of vinyl chloride and vinyl isobutyl ether (called the vinyl chloride-vinyl isobutyl ether copolymer resin, abbreviations for the VC-IBVE) basically overcomes the drawback of other chlorine polymer resin, chemical corrosion resistance, water resistance, weather resistance and other properties, good bonding effect and metal matrix is an important Marine paint, heavy anti-corrosion coatings, and one of the advanced printing ink binder matrix material, widely used in container paint, Marine engineering, Marine paint heavy anticorrosive paint, a small part of the ink industry.


Copolymer of vinyl chloride and vinyl isobutyl ether coatings has all the properties of modern corrosion resistance, like as water resistance, hydrolysis resistance, weather resistance and chemical resistance. It's widely used in chemical industry, metallurgy industry, mining industry, water supply system and shipbuilding industry, as following:


1. Industrial anticorrosive coatings: such as factory buildings, equipment, pipelines, storage tanks, municipal engineering, harbor and wharf, etc; Due to its excellent resistance to saponification, water and chemicals, and excellent adhesion, copolymer of vinyl chloride resin is very suitable for anticorrosive undercoat and topcoat in industrial;


2. Base coating and surface coating of light metal: Due to aluminium, zinc, galvanized steel and other non-ferrous metals are difficult to be coated with paint, the general synthetic resin coating is not readily be bonding with them, the coating will be removed easily from the substrate, but copolymer of vinyl chloride resin painting has a good adhesion to them;


3. Application


Chloroether resins are used in anti-corrosion coatings and composite inks

* Similar to chloride:

Chlorinated polymers refer to aliphatic hydrocarbon resins (chlorinated polyalefine resin, CPR) whose main chains are partially substituted with chlorine atoms. The main varieties are:
1. Chlorinated rubber (CR), 2. Chlorosulfonated polyethylene (CSPE) 3. Perchlorethylene (HPVC), 4. High chlorinated polyethylene (HCPE), 5. Chlorinated polypropylene (CPP), 6. Chlorinated ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (CEVA) 7. Chlorinated vinyl-vinyl isobutyl ether copolymer, etc.

* anti-corrosion coatings:

Chloroether resins are widely used in the field of coatings. Their anti-corrosion ability is 2-3 times that of ordinary anti-corrosion coatings. The coatings have excellent flexibility, heat resistance, alkali resistance, UV resistance and powdering resistance, and can be widely used in anti-corrosion treatment in industry, transportation, construction and marine engineering. The important reason is that chloroether resin coatings have excellent anti-corrosion properties and excellent adhesion strength to a variety of substrate surfaces. The produced coatings are applicable to a wide range of substrates and can be constructed in humid environments. They are widely used in industrial steel structures, river and sea engineering, and building protection.

* composite inks:

Chloroether resin is used as a binder in the ink industry. The color coating made of it can be well coated on rigid polyvinyl chloride, polyester, nylon, polystyrene and other materials. It is often used in the preparation of composite inks. Chloroether resin gives the ink appropriate rheological properties to meet the requirements of the printing process. After the ink dries, the pigment can be evenly adhered to the substrate. Commonly used chloroether resin models are MP45 and MP60. The quality of the resin has a huge impact on the ink. It must have good transfer performance, good wetting performance, suitable for high-speed printing, and ensure the quality of the printed product before it can be used in high-end composite inks.
