FR-HP100
Flame Retardant for Transparent Epoxy Resin
Product Description:
FR-HP100 is a white crystal non-halogenated phosphazene based flame retardant. The excellent synergistic flame retardant effect is achieved by the stable molecular formation of cyclic P-N chemical bonds, and its high phosphorus content (13.4%, by wt.) in contrast to conventional phosphorus based flame retardants like RDP, BDP. FR-HP100 is transparent mixed with resin substrate, particularly suitable for the applications such as transparent polycarbonate (PC), and electrical and electronic applications like flexible copper clad laminate (FCCL), light-emitting diode (LED), adhesives and sealants, powder coating, and etc.
Benefits:
l Good molecular stability, thanks to cyclic P-N chemical bonds formation.
l Good thermal stability, wide range of temperature resistance.
l Good mechanical-property stability of flame retarded material (e.g. good resistance of water, oil, and organic solvents).
l Excellent flame retardant effect, no physical property altering under 250℃ high temperature for a long time.
l Good colourability, ensuing a wide range of applications.
l Non-halogenated flame retardant with favourable environment and health profile.
Specifications:
Characteristics | Unit | Target Value |
Appearance | white crystal | |
Phosphorus | % (w/w) | min. 13.4 |
Chloride Ion | mg/L | max. 20.0 |
Water/ Moisture | % (w/w) | max. 0.1 |
Melting Point | ℃ | 110.0-112.0 |
Decomposition Temperature | ℃ | > 350 |
Applications:
FR-HP100 is transparent mixed with epoxy resin, a 15% (by wt.) dosage is usually sufficient to obtain efficient flame retardant grades in contrast to conventional phosphorus-antimony-based flame retardants.
In transparent PC, a dosage of 8-10% (by wt.) FR-HP100 is usually sufficient to obtain the FV-0 classification.
In benzoxazine resin glass cloth laminate, a dosage of approx.10% (by wt.) of FR-HP100 is usually sufficient to obtain the FV-0 classification.
In the viscose fibre spinning, an appropriate dosage of FR-HP100 is mixed with the viscose fiber solution to obtain the flame retarded material with limiting oxygen index (LOI) approx. 26%.
Packing and Handling:
Delivery form:
White crystal.
Packing:
FR-HP100 is packed in paper-plastic bags with polyethylene inliner, 25kg per package.
Storage:
FR-HP100 must be sealed, stored in a dry and cool place.
