FR-AHP01
Non-halogenated Phosphorus-silicon-based Flame Retardant for Polyamide
Product Description:
FR-AHP01 is a white powdery non-halogenated flame retardant based on phosphorus and silicon system for polyamide (nylon/ PA). This product achieves its flame retardant effect via a combined gas phase and condensed phase mode of action. FR-AHP01 is developed for high temperature PA, which has excellent compatibility with polymers. It has benefits on low addition amount, less precipitation and mold corrosion during processing in contrast to commercial phosphorus- or phosphorus-nitrogen- based products.
FR-AHP01 is particularly suitable for the used of nylon (glass-fibre reinforced and non-reinforced nylon6 or 66), with excellent mechanical and electrical properties, such as good insulation, good colour stability, and less blooming, showing a high-potential for PA applications.
Specifications:
Characteristics | Unit | Target Value |
Appearance | white granules | |
Density | g/cm3 | 1.38-1.40 |
Moisture/ Water | % (w/w) | < 0.2 |
Decomposition Temperature | ℃ | > 350 |
Average Particle Size (D50) | μm | 20-40 |
Applications:
In glass fibre reinforced nylon 6 or 66 (30GF), a dosage of 13-14% (by wt.) of FR-AHP01 is usually sufficient to obtain the UL94 V-0 classification (1.6mm), with a notch impact strength higher than 12 kJ/m2.
FR-AHP01 achieves its excellent flame retardant effect via a combined gas phase and condensed phase mode of action, and flame retarded materials exhibit less blooming and appearance defects (flow marks), and less mold deposit. It also meets most efficient flame retardant grade regarding high temperature and high humidity (85 ℃ and 85% humidity) for 1000 hours, without obvious blooming.
FR-AHP01 flame retarded polymers exhibit excellent electrical and physical properties, in terms of high CTI value above 600V, good colourability (particularly suitable for white, whiteness > 92), and low graying probability for long-term injection molding.
