Non-halogenated Flame Retardant for Polyurethane Coating
Product Description:
FR-B8022 is a phosphorus based flame retardant specifically developed for polyurethane (PU) coating. It has good flame retardant effect and good compatibility with polymeric substrates, particularly suitable for the use of high flame retardant grade PU (e.g. automotive PU). FR-B8022 has benefits on low addition amount, good leveling, and good flexibility resistance in contrast to commercial aluminium diethylphosphinate (ADP), or conventional phosphorus and nitrogen based flame retardants.
Benefits:
l Excellent flame retardant effect, high flame retardant efficiency, low addition amount.
l Good compatibility with PU, good adhesion, and good flexibility resistance, with less side effects on physical property of flame retarded material.
l Flame retarded sealants and adhesives could pass the test of high temperature and high humidity (85℃ and 85% humidity) for 168 hours with no precipitation.
l In the use of new energy automobiles, FR-B8011 flame retarded material is compliance with the standards of flame retardant grade, with less side effects on external texture of coated PU.

Applications:
In the use of PU coating, a dosage of 15-18% (by wt.) of FR-B8022 is usually sufficient to obtain the flame retardant grade of automotive interior decoration (self-extinguishing, burning length < 6cm).
FR-B8022 is also suitable for the use such as PU coating in solvent-free, organic, or water-based systems, as well as adhesives and sealants, flexible copper clad laminate (FCCL), flexible flat cable (FFC), and etc.
