Non-halogenated Flame Retardant for Polyurethane
Product Description:
FR-B8021A is a non-halogenated phosphorus and nitrogen based flame retardant specifically developed for polyurethane (PU) systems. It has good flame retardant effect and good compatibility with polymeric substrates. FR-B8021A has benefits on low addition amount, high flame retardant efficiency, and low viscosity with resins in contrast to commercial aluminium diethylphosphinate (ADP), or conventional phosphorus and nitrogen based flame retardants. FR-B8021A is particularly suitable for the most efficient flame retardant grade applications such as PU potting adhesives, thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer (TPE), automotive PU.

Applications:
In the use of PU potting adhesives, a dosage of 30% (by wt.) of FR-B8021A or in a combination of 15% (by wt.) each of FR-B8021A and aluminum hydroxide is usually sufficient to obtain the UL94 V-0 classification (2.0mm).
FR-B8021A is also suitable for the use such as PU coating in the solvent-free, organic, or water-based systems, TPU, and etc.
