Micro-encapsulated Ammonium Polyphosphate (PhaseⅡ) Flame Retardant



Product Description:

FR-AP1001 is a halogen-free flame retardant based on ammonium polyphosphate (phaseⅡ, APP). It is produced from APP by micro-encapsulation with melamine resin, with the average polyerisation degree higher than 1500. Therefore, the product is largely insoluble in water and most organic solvents, non-hygroscopic, and non-flammable. This white powder shows an excellent catalytic char-forming effect.

Benefits:

  • Micro-encapsulated with melamine resin, high processing and thermal stability

  • Less decomposition and side effects on flame retarded materials during processing in contrast to similar competitive products

Applications:

  • In polypropylene (PP) systems:

a dosage of approx. 26-28% (by wt.) FR-AP1001 combined with triazine charring agent is usually sufficient to obtain the UL 94 V-0 classification (1.6 mm).


  • In epoxy resin, acrylic resin, and etc:

the excellent synergistic effect is achieved by combined with MCA, or ADP.



Packing & Storage

  • Packed in paper-plastic bags with polyethylene inliner, 25kg per package.

  • The product should be sealed and stored in a dry, dust-free, and cool place.
