Product Description:

FB-PP300H is a brominated phosphorus and nitrogen based flame retardant masterbatch for polypropylene (PP), containing 30% flame retardant and 70% PP carrier resin. This product is suitable for polypropylene systems in terms of homo-polymerised, co-polymerised, and filled PP. FB-PP300H is widely used for general PP applications based on UL94 flame retardant rating, such as PP pipe, household appliances (e.g. heater casing, heater fan wheel, fan drum, socket), coil frame, corrugated pipe, hollow board, electrical toilet seat.

Applications:

FB-PP300H is suitable for flame retardant applications in PP systems such as heater casing, heater fan wheel, fan drum, coil frame, corrugated pipe, hollow board, electrical toilet seat, and etc.


FB-PP300H is compatible with homo-polymerised, co-polymerised, as well as filled PP systems (suitable filler, e.g. talcum powder, barium sulfate; unsuitable filler, e.g. calcium carbonate).


In homo-polymerised PP, a dosage of 2-3% (by wt.) of FB-PP300H is usually sufficient to achieve UL 94 V-2 (0.8-3.2mm), and passing the glow wire tests (GWIT 750°C and GWFI 960°C).


In co-polymerised PP, a dosage of 6-10% (by wt.) of FB-PP300H is usually sufficient to achieve UL 94 V-2 (0.8-3.2mm), and passing the glow wire tests (GWIT 750°C and GWFI 960°C).


Care must be taken that processing temperatures should be below 200°C, as overheating (above 230°C) may cause PP degradation and flame retardant decomposition.

FB-PP300H is packed in paper-plastic bags with polyethylene inliner, 25kg per package.


Storage:

FB-PP300H should be stored in a dry and cool place, avoid direct sunlight. Partially emptied containers should be carefully resealed after use.
