Non-halogenated Flame Retardant for Polyester
Product Description:
FR-AMP01M is a non-halogenated flame retardant based on organic phosphinates and nitrogen synergistic system for thermoplastic polyester (e.g. polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), polyethylene terephthalate (PET). This product achieves its excellent flame retardant effect through intumescence, a combined gas phase and condensed phase mode of action. It has good compatibility with polyesters, therefore the flame retarded material is less brittleness, lower formation of toxic smoke or corrosive gases (e.g. PH3). FR-AMP01M is a white powder, multiple color solutions would be implemented to enable broader applications of flame retarded materials.

Applications:
FR-AMP01M has excellent flame retardant effect for polyester, particularly suitable for PBT. In the 30% glass fibre reinforced PBT, a dosage of 14-15% (by wt.) of FR-AMP01M is usually sufficient to obtain the UL94 V-0 classification (1.6mm), with approx. 10% of impact strength improved in contrast to commercial products.
FR-AMP01M has good colourability (particularly suitable for white application, whiteness > 90%), and reduces the graying probability in injection molding for long terms.
It is also suitable for the glass fibre reinforced polyamide, a dosage of 15-16% (by wt.) of FR-AMP01M is usually sufficient to obtain the UL94 V-0 classification (1.6mm).
